While launching its new Nexus Smartphone and tablet line, Google made an announcement that they’ll release android version soon. On Tuesday, Nov. 13th, Google delivered on its promise and surfaced Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Initially, only Nexus 4 Smartphone and Samsung’s Nexus 10 tablet have got this update, however.

The updated Jelly Bean version has many new application and features which were missing in predecessor Jelly Bean 4.1. Take a look at some of the new features of Jelly Bean 4.2.

1. Photo Sphere

This feature enables you to stitch snapshots together to create Google Street View-style panoramic images, but you’ll be allowed to do so once every blue moon.

2. Play Store app

This app features a customized music-shopping function, Music Explorer, and amazingly customized music services called Pandora. Using this app, you will definitely be able to find new music easily.

3. Smart Screen-Savers

The Jelly Bean 4.2 also features an extremely smart screen-saver, Daydream. This smart screen-saver allows the user to display photo slideshows, news headlines and much more.

4. Gesture Typing

Gesture Typing is much like the Swype, which lets the user enter words simply by sliding a stylus or finger from letter to letter. But unlike Swype, Gesture typing can be analyzed in real time, means you can see what the keyboard is prophesying as you swipe the finger/stylus.

5. Miracast: From Tablet and Smart-phone to TV

Miracast is the trade-name for Wi-Fi Direct (WiDi) which allows the user to send Internet TV shows and movies from their Smartphone or tablet to their TV.

6. Multi-user support

It’s an amazing and extremely helpful application for those who share the tablet. The app enables the user to have user profiles for all the users. In simple wording, using this you can have your own home-screen, background; widgets etc. and conversely all of the other users of the tablet can have their own tablet experience.

7. Amazing Lockscreen Widget

Lockscreeen Widget is another wonderful feature of this updated version of Jelly Bean. Using this, you can simply access to the widgets simply with a leftward or rightward swipe even without unlocking the phone.

Other brand new apps include Quick setting, Google Now, Notifications and Message Zooming.
